Find out what is happening to continually improve Rice Lake

For 2018, it has been another year of intense focus for monitoring and treating Starry Stonewort (SSW) with the goal of containing and preventing this aquatic invasive species from spreading in our lake.

As part of our Rice Lake Management Program, RLA engages vendors to conduct vegetation surveys and perform aquatic treatments during the climate eligible months (May thought October/Nov). The vegetation surveys are used to monitor the vegetation growth and to identify any intrusion of Aquatic Invasive Species. The treatments are done for containment and preventative purposes.

The attached newsletter includes a recap of the actions taken and the results from the RLA Lake Management of Starry Stonewort from Spring to Fall of 2018.
